Location

The Being Gathering takes place at Boomland, Idanha-a-Nova lake, Portugal. The closest villages are Alcafozes and Idanha-a-Velha, which are 40km away from the Spanish border.

Enjoy the way to Boomland, the surroundings and landscape. It's the journey that marks the beginning of the experience, so do everything you can to make it run smoothly.

GETTING THERE BY BEING BUS

The Being Bus is a charter bus service for a safer, more comfortable and sustainable experience, providing return transport from Lisbon and Madrid Airports to and from the festival. This is the best way to get to the Being Gathering if you come by public transport.

Important information

  • Being Bus tickets can be purchased online once you have secured your festival ticket and received your Being ID.
  • All children must hold a bus ticket as they will use a seat. Parents/guardians must bring adapted seats for all children that are travelling on our Being Buses. If you're not able to bring a seat for your child, please let us know in advance so that we may support you.
  • Bikes: bikes can be transported on the Being Bus only if they can be folded within the parameters of allowed luggage size (see Terms and Conditions). Due to limited space, normal bikes cannot be transported on the Being Bus.

GETTING THERE BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT

From Lisbon Airport
BUS
From the airport take the metro to Sete Rios bus station and from there take a bus to Castelo Branco (52 km away from Boomland). From Castelo Branco, you can take a bus to Idanha-a-Nova (operating on weekdays only). Once you’ve arrived at Idanha-a-Nova, you can take a cab to Boomland.
TRAIN
Take the Metro to Gare do Oriente station, from there you can get the train to Castelo Branco (52 km away from Boomland). From Castelo Branco, you can take a bus to Idanha-a-Nova (operating on weekdays only). Once you’ve arrived at Idanha-a-Nova, you can take a cab to Boomland.

From Madrid Airport
BUS
From Madrid you have a bus service that connects you to Lisboa. The Madrid Bus station (ESTACIÓN SUR) is at Av. Mendez Álvaro and you find it at the Mendez Álvaro Metro station.

One of the companies that run buses to Lisbon is Avanza Bus (www.avanzabus.com).

In Lisbon, from Sete Rios bus station take a bus to Castelo Branco (52 km away from Boomland). From Castelo Branco, you can take a bus to Idanha-a-Nova (operating on weekdays only). Once you’ve arrived at Idanha-a-Nova, you can take a cab to Boomland.

GETTING THERE BY CAR

From Lisbon
Take the A1 motorway, exit at junction A23, direction Torres Novas.

Continue towards Castelo Branco along the A23, exit at Lardosa/ Idanha-a-Nova.
Follow the signs to Idanha-a-Nova.

In Idanha-a-Nova you will reach a roundabout, follow the signs to Espanha/Zebreira.

Go straight and turn when you find the signs of Idanha-a-Velha/Alcafozes. Keep straight forward until you find a roundabout in Alcafozes.

In the roundabout turn to Idanha-a-Velha and follow the signs to the Being Gathering.
From Porto
Take the A1 motorway, direction Lisboa until you reach signs for the A25, direction Viseu. Drive along the A23, towards Covilhã and Castelo Branco.

Exit at Lardosa / Idanha-a-Nova. Follow the signs to Idanha-a-Nova. In Idanha-a-Nova you will reach a roundabout, follow the signs to Espanha/Zebreira.

Go straight and turn when you find the signs of Idanha-a-Velha/Alcafozes. Keep straight forward until you find a roundabout in Alcafozes.

In the roundabout turn to Idanha-a-Velha and follow the signs to the Being Gathering.
From Madrid
Take the A5 motorway, towards Plasencia and Portugal. Take the A1, direct Plascencia and follow the signs for the Ex-108 to Coria/Portugal.

Continue following signs to Portugal. As you enter the country you will see signs to Idanha-a-Nova. In Idanha-a-Nova you will reach a roundabout, follow the signs to Espanha/Zebreira.

Go straight and turn when you find the signs of Idanha-a-Velha/Alcafozes. Keep straight forward until you find a roundabout in Alcafozes. In the roundabout turn to Idanha-a-Velha and follow the signs to the Being Gathering.
