Yoga for Kids and Families

Yoga is a fun way for children to develop important skills in a supportive, no-competitive environment.

The Yoga class is focused on the execution of postures based on a story, games and relaxation using different themes and a lot of creativity. The way to keep the children in the postures is by counting, singing, making the sounds of animals, talking about curiosities about animals or something related to objects or nature.

I use yoga poses in every class….From age 3 to 5 the class is based on Stories, engaging to their imagination by going on Yoga Journeys or inventing Yoga Stories and by co-creating the class with them and empowering them with choices. For children from the age of 6 and up i will also ad more conceptual topics as a theme for a class, like trust, friendship, help, respect. Finally, the Quiet time it’s an essential part of yoga  where we breath, meditate, do massage and  guided imagery.

Practicing Yoga together helps strengthen the bonds between parents and children, while they support each other and have fun.
