At the Being Gathering 2017, Isa Guitana will be facilitating Devotional Chanting & Yantra Activation Auspicious Mystical Healing

Isa Guitana

Isa spent 10 years traveling to India to practice under the guidance of Shri K Pattabhi Jois and his grandson Sharath Jois and was among the first Portuguese teachers to be Authorized by the Ashtanga Yoga Institute in Mysore, India.

She felt this practice would challenge her, open her heart and bring her new levels of growth for a lifetime – an insight that has been continuously renewed. Isa spends most of her time in Lisbon, Portugal with her family and teaching at her school, Casa Vinyasa.

Over the years Isa has also taught throughout Portugal and across the world in Malaysia, Singapore, Bali, Brazil, and the United States.

In addition to teaching Ashtanga, Isa has followed her passion to sing and uses her voice as a tool for transformation through the study of traditional Indian Bhajans, chanting of the Yoga Sutras, and guided Yoga Nidra Meditation.

Devotional Chanting & Yantra Activation Auspicious Mystical Healing

Isa invites you to immerse in the ancient chant traditions of Indian culture to feel its intrinsic beauty and its power to catalyze spiritual growth. Musical gatherings are auspicious as an effective form of yoga that facilitate intense concentration, absorption in the seed of sound, and inner healing.

Sound or vibration is the most powerful force in the universe. After the notes are learned, one’s undivided attention should be given to repeating them with deeper and deeper devotion… A song born out of the depths of true devotion and continuously chanted, audibly or mentally, will open the heart until one is immersed in the bliss of singing. In those blissful moments a dim memory comes to us of our divine origin.

One who Chants with true devotion will unleash divine communion and ecstatic joy, and through them the healing of body, mind, and soul. It bestows joy on man because it causes a temporary vibratory awakening of his occult spinal centers.
The harmonious music and sweet words awaken the soul and guide us on the path to liberation…

For this gathering we will have the inspiration and support of Sri Yantra: the most powerful Yantra, known as king of all the Yantras. It is the abode of all the Gods and Goddesses. Sri Yantra is worshiped to remove obstacles, stress, anxiety and depression. It blesses the worshiper with transcendental beauty and pleasure, wealth and emancipation, knowledge and spiritual growth, peace and harmony. It´s considered a very efficient tool for contemplation, concentration and meditation.

It represents the sound vibration of the cosmic OM seen as a visual diagram. It is a symbol of the entire cosmos that serves to remind us of the non-difference between subject and object. Music is a divine art, to be used for pleasure as well as a path to the ultimate realization of our existence and manifestation. Vibrations resulting from devotional singing lead to raising consciousness and attunement with the Cosmic Law.
