At the Being Gathering 2017, Angharad Wynne will be facilitating Celtic tradition inspired rituals.

Angharad Wynne

Angharad spent much of her youth exploring her Welsh homeland by foot and delving deeply into the western magic, healing and spiritual traditions in order to piece together the lost parts of her own indigenous culture. Connection and dialogue with with nature and landscape is central to her work as is the magic of everyday, the creation for meaningful rituals for our lives today and sharing the spirituality and mythology of her homeland with others.

A published author and poet, Angharad is also a storyteller who uses story as the starting point for deep enquiry and a source of timeless wisdom and healing. She regularly runs spiritual and creative retreats including the Return to Centre series for women, In the Footsteps of Ancestors, an annual pilgrimage following ‘Songlines’ across the sacred landscapes of Britain, and Dreaming the Land which she co-runs with partner and collaborator, Eric Maddern.

The Four Elements Morning Rituals

To honour the ground we stand upon, the earth that sustains us and to acknowledge and bless the Boomland. Time to ground ourselves, to send roots deep into the soil and become conscious of the living, nurturing force beneath our feet. To rejoice in the energetic breath and the air we share with all living things. Time to breathe deep and honour that which sustains us, the world of thought and intellect which are the foundations of our actions in the world. To honour the waters of life that flow within and outside of us, the deep pools of emotion that guide us and nurture empathy so necessary for our world right now.

We will take time to honour and connect with the spirit and story of Idanha-a-Nova Lake which sustains and cools us beneath the hot sun of the Being Gathering. To honour the fire within us, the sun above us and the flames of passion, action and inspiration. Time to light the white-fire of life joy for the day and and commit to sharing our light with those we meet along our journey today and every day.

Crescent Moon Ritual

Beneath the waking Buck or Hay moon, a sacred time to acknowledge and bless all that is growing and ripening within our lives. A moment out of time to honour the moon within us, the tides that pull at us, the cycles that give rhythm to our existence, and mother moon who blesses us with her light and promises light, even in the dark times.
